IMR is pleased to present the Vortex Surround suite of applications.
Vortex Surround facilitates the creative and expressive manipulation of
individual sounds in space as well as the combining of these sounds into
multichannel sound cues and fully immersive soundscapes. Three applications
( Vortex Surround Designer, Vortex
Surround Mixer, and Vortex Surround Encoder
) form a surround authoring system, and may be used individually or together
as elements of a complete production chain. They also work transparently
with other audio applications and can be used to provide multichannel sound
capabilities for authoring environments that are otherwise less capable.

Vortex Surround Plug-ins
Vortex Surround Plug-ins (VSP) are surround sound
authoring tools designed to integrate with the most
popular VST hosts, such as Cubase, Ableton Live, and
others.
VSP incorporate many features of our Vortex Surround
Mixer and Designer products into an intuitive, easy-to-
use package. Its crisp interface reveals depth, subtlety,
and creative power—to complement your favorite
host application.
Like our other products, VSP allow the user to build
complex surround mixes using presets or custom spatial
paths and incorporates features never before seen in
commercial mixing or performance applications, such as
algorithmic mixing (chaotic, non-linear, flocking, etc.)
and spatial looping tightly synchronized with the client
transport. Future updates will support real-time
control via USB and MIDI controllers.
